Firefly The Firefly, the new hit Whedon series, came out of one-off episodes. In Summer Glau's role, River Tam was a complicated persona that Glau managed with ease. Tam is forced to participate in government-sponsored experiments that make her the ultimate assassin. Tam did not have control over her feelings as a consequence. Glau was able to display her combat skills as well her acting talent on Firefly. Glau had the ability to utilize her athletic abilities since she was trained to be an assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina from the age of an infant. Summer Glau's dance skills encompass flamenco, tango and many other kinds. But a broken toe cut off her career. Firefly was only on for one season, but the show garnered a large follower base. Fans of Whedon's were so passionate that Whedon returned to it two years later.
