The shadows that she noticed on the lawn inspired her to spend months developing the technique that, does not, however, paint the selected object onto canvas. Instead, the object is transformed into a reproduction of itself in which the painting is the vehicle for its personal interpretation by painting, particularly in the case of living or perishable items for example, like humans or fruits. Alexa Meade's style of painting, that is extremely ephemeral nature, is apparent. The only work from her work that is preserved is the photo. Techniques of photography and painting are closely coordinated and result in a flat, two-dimensional space which achieves trompe-l'oeil. The only elements of the picture, like the hair or eyes, show the three-dimensional dimension. Meade has also integrated her model paintings into the 3D space that surrounds them. Interaction between them and this created world is possible. This way, the line between painting and photography can be dissolved.
