Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. The singer-songwriter signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 after she was a model. She dropped her debut album, self-titled in 2017. The album reached the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released, among them Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at the number 6 spot within the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakthrough act in 2018. The album was certified platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London Born on the 22nd of August, 1995. By way of her maternal grandparent Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja the city of Kosovo. Lipa's grand-fathers were both history professors. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was taught guitar playing and sing with her dad Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's rock group Oda. When she was at home, her dad would play original compositions along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she started singing. When she was nine years old, Lipa started singing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Am Not Got You and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. In 2014 Lipa signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. In August 2015 the debut track of hers New Love came out.
